Jack Reynolds graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Education, majoring in Physical Education, and then secured his Masters in Education at The University of Washington. Along with his being an educator for 36 years, he is known as a Wrestling and Softball Official at the State and National levels. His love of sports and dedication to students led him to a career that included coaching Wrestling, Football, Track, and Volleyball. In 2008, Jack was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame for his lifetime of dedication to the sport.
The Jack Reynolds Scholarship Fund's primary goal is to establish a perpetual fund to assist a student athlete's post-secondary education. The scholarship award will be specifically recognized student athletes who exemplify qualities modeled and instilled by Jack:
- Dedication
- Integrity
- Mentorship
- Academic Achievement
- Fair Play
To apply, please submit the following:
- A resume’ for grades 9-12, which describes:
- Honors you have received (Academic / Athletic)
- Co-curricular activities and positions of leadership you have held
- Community and school service/volunteer activities
- Work Activities (if any)
- An essay on how School or Athletics has affected you. The essay should, at a minimum, speak to each of Jack’s attributes that you exemplify: scholarship, sportsmanship, integrity, dedication, and mentorship.
- Attach a letter of recommendation from at least one of the following: Advisor, Principal, Athletic Director, or Head Coach.
- Sealed High School transcript
- Completed and signed Scholarship Application
