Young Women’s Empowerment Scholarship
This scholarship program is intended to raise awareness of these issues among college-bound women and help them overcome obstacles to reach their full potential. To apply, submit a 1,000-word essay outlining how you have had an impact on young women in your family or your community along with some background material. The winner of the scholarship will receive a $1,000 scholarship to further their post-secondary educational goals.
Scholarship Eligibility
To be eligible for the Young Women's Empowerment Scholarship, all applicants must be in excellent academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. They must also be currently enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program within the United States.
The applicant must write a 1,000-word essay explaining how they have empowered young women in their family or community. That can include helping someone overcome discrimination, teaching someone a new skill or encouraging someone to reach their goals. Essays will be judged on writing quality as well as the specific experiences described.

An application for this scholarship should include:
A) An unofficial resume.
B) A current transcript and a contact number for your college or other educational institution to verify current enrollment.
