The city of Antioch is located right off Highway 4 in Contra Costa County, and is referred to as the Gateway to the Delta. It has a population just over 100,000 individuals. Although Antioch is amongst the smaller Contra Costa County communities, it still has various recreational, employment, and shopping opportunities.

Compared to various Bay Area locations, the land is both affordable and abundant. Office space and retail space could be lease from 20-30% less than other centrally located spaces of Contra Costa County.

One of the most sought-after qualities concerning Antioch is its reasonable housing, which is scarce amongst the Bay Area communities. Homes styles varying from condos to family residences, priced for a range of income levels, can be found in this area.

Service-oriented businesses, and insurance institutions and contracting, have become more common as the pace of development has increased. This has created increased employment in these areas, such as in hospitals, schools, as well as various service sectors.

The main provider of public transportation in the Antioch area is Tri-Delta Transit, even if the County Connection bus 930 likewise connects and goes to Mitchell Park n' Ride, Railroad Castlewood, John Muir Medical Center, Delta Fair Sommersville and Hillcrest Park 'n Ride. The two major stations that can be found in this area are the Pittsburgh/Bay Point Station in Pittsburgh and Antioch-Pittsburgh Amtrak. Access to Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) is situated at the Pittsburgh/Bay Point Station.
