Merritt City hosts an annual Merritt Mountain Music Festival which draws many people every month of July. There are many tourism development activities which makes the city the "Country Music Capital of Canada," and anyone would surely enjoy the Merritt Walk of Stars - a display of bronzed handprints of the Mountainfest artists who are members of the community.
