Midland City, Ontario sits at the southern edge of the Georgian Bay Islands, in the Simcoe County. The city of Midland has been referred to as the "Gateway to Georgian Bay" and its 30,000 Islands. When seasonal visitors come to the area so as to visit its natural attractions, the population expands to more than 100,000 people. Its number of historical attractions is among the earliest settlements within Canada's history.

There are lots of tourist attractions in Midland City. Among these comprise: Marsh Wildlife Centre, Midland Tours, Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, Martyrs' Shrine, and Huronia Museum. Midland Tours provides lots of exciting cruises, like for example the Serendipity Princess Barrie Boat Cruises on Kempenfelt Bay, Trent-Severn River to the Big Chute, Casino Rama Tour Packages, and Miss Midland 30,000 Islands Boat Cruises on Muskoka-Georgian Bay. The Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre is a not-for-profit, environmental awareness facility dedicated to operating year-round programs which help develop understanding and awareness of the natural environment and wildlife. Sainte-Marie amongst the Hurons is considered a national treasure, and one of the two major sites that make up Huronia Historical Parks. Sainte-Marie was a 17th century fortress for the Jesuit missionaries who went to Huron. They, along with other workers, started constructing the palisaded community which consisted of workshops, residences, barracks, and churches. By 1648, it became the home of about 70 Frenchmen, that is one-fifth of the entire population of New France. Huronia Museum and Huron/Ouendat Village offers active art programs, collections and exhibitions from history. Inside the Museum are archaeological collections and native art of the Ojibway First nations and the Quendats in addition to contemporary art of Georgian Bay. Georgian Bay lighthouses and marine heritage are likewise featured.

Midland's parks have lots of areas meant for sports activities. Whether they be Beach Volleyball Courts, Baseball Diamonds, and Tennis Courts, everyone is certain to finds something to suit their sports interests. The Southern Georgian Bay within North Simcoe is the commercial and population hub in the region. Midland is popular for its tourism, having a lot of wonderful historical centres, cottages, and boating locations. Southern Georgian Bay provides an ideal business setting due to its growing population base, expanding manufacturing sector, housing, competitive taxation rates, and cooperative atmosphere.
