The Holiday Beach Conservation Area is a haven for bird watching enthusiasts, as it is best known as an unparalleled viewing spot for the fall migration of raptors. The 'Festival of Hawks' event is held within the city each September. People who truly like to hike will enjoy traversing the two-kilometre trail along Big Creek Marsh. The 2.21 km2 nature reserve has over six hundred ten metres of beaches, as well as trails and picnic areas.

There are various tourist attractions for history buffs within the city of Amherstburg. These attractions comprise the North American Black Historical Museum, the Park House Museum, Bellevue House and Fort Malden.
