Naperville (population 141,853) is a city within the state of Illinois. It is situated in both Will and Dupage Counties, with approximately two thirds of Napervillians living in the county of DuPage, and another third in Will County. Naperville is the fifth biggest city within the state of Illinois. Plenty of corporate headquarters are located in the city of Naperville, making it one of the richest cities within the Midwest. The community was named for Captain Joseph Naper after it was inhabited in the year 1831. It officially became a city in the year 1890. The city of Naperville is home to the head offices of Tellabs, OfficeMax and Dukane Precast, and ConAgra's Gocery's division branch office. Kraft Foods runs its Triscuit products plant there. A main manufacturing plant of concrete is located in the city of Naperville. Amoco and Argonne National Laboratory, a research facility owned by Fermilab are situated within the area. The city of Naperville has numerous automobile dealerships. The city of Naperville boasts a large, $1.5 million, public-private car test track.
