About the Scholarship

This year, Richie's Spirit Foundation will award $3,500 in college scholarships to a graduating high school senior who demonstrates leadership, character, and initiative in school and community affairs and merits academic achievement.

Since inception, RSF has awarded more than $7,500 in college scholarships to deserving applicants. The program receives over 1,000 applicants each year.

Richie Herskowitz died in October 2007 of Cystic Fibrosis (CF) related causes. He was just short of finishing his senior year of high school. Richie lived his life with a positive spirit no matter what obstacles got in his way. Watch a video to learn more about Richie's life.
