The Daniels Scholarship Program offers a comprehensive, four-year college scholarship that provides financial and personal support focused on helping Daniels Scholars succeed in college, and in life. The Daniels Scholarship can be used at any accredited nonprofit college or university in the United States. Our goal is not only to help Daniels Scholars succeed in college, but to ensure that they thrive beyond their years in college.
Every year, Daniels Scholars are selected from our four-state region of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. Daniels Scholars currently attend more than 200 colleges and universities in 45 states.
Through March 2020, the Daniels Scholarship Program has provided more than $204 million in undergraduate scholarships to over 4,350 students.
What are the eligibility requirements for the Daniels Scholarship Program?
To be eligible for the Daniels Scholarship Program, students must meet the following requirements at the time of application:
A) Be a high school senior graduating from a school in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming
B) Be a resident of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming
C) Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
D) Earn a minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 in high school (on an unweighted 4.0 scale), AND earn a minimum SAT Math score of 490 and a minimum Evidence-Based Reading & Writing score of 490, or a minimum ACT score of 18 in each category (writing score not required). Super scoring is not accepted.
Financial Eligibility Details
In order to be eligible for the Daniels Scholarship Program, the applicant's parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must have an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of $85,000 or less on the 2019 Form 1040 U.S. Individual Income Tax Return on which the applicant appears as a dependent.
If there are additional dependents, beyond the applicant, claimed on their 2019 tax return, we allow for additional income as follows:
A) $5,000 for each additional dependent not in college
B) $15,000 for each additional dependent in college full time during the 2020/2021 academic year

Bill Daniels was also passionate about the free enterprise system, which he believed provided the best opportunity to help people improve their lives.
