The Slovenian Women’s Union Scholarship Foundation began awarding scholarships to Slovene college students in 1949. It has been able to financially assist students annually since that early time, due to the generosity of members of the Slovenian Women’s Union, now Slovenian Union of America. Over $300,000 has been dispersed in the past.

Scholarships Available for 2016-2017

SWU Scholarships of $1,000 and $2,000 for high school students entering college, or college students while in school are offered. Also, a $500.00 Continuing education Aware for persons attending a college or technical school on a part-time basis will be available for an adult updating or entering an alternate career.
