Purpose
1. In memory of Gloria Landis for her significant and sustained contribution to and achievements within LDAO on behalf of individuals with learning disabilities
2. To provide financial assistance to a mature individual with learning disabilities who is in a post secondary program or accredited vocational institute, and has been absent from full-time education for a period of three years.
Value of Scholarship: The bursary is valued at $1,000.00 annually
Number: One scholarship will be awarded annually
Deadline: June 15, 2012
Conditions: The candidate must:
1. be diagnosed with a documented learning disability
2. be at least 25 years of age
3. have been absent from full-time education for a period of three years
4. have been accepted into a post secondary or accredited vocational institute program (at the time of funding)
5. be considered by the educational institution to be a mature student within the institution’s rules and regulations
6. have submitted all required documentation
7. have followed all the application policies and procedures prescribed by the LDAO, and not been awarded this bursary previously
8. be an Ontario resident
