Since 2004, Indspire has provided over $115 million in financial support to more than 37,500 First Nations, Inuit and Métis students. All Building Brighter Futures donations are matched by the Government of Canada allowing us to be double the impact for students.

Program Objectives

The objectives of the Building Brighter Futures program are to:

A) Support as many Indigenous students as possible;

A) Meet each student's financial need;

B) Increase the number of Canadian Indigenous graduates;

C) Increase the number of Indigenous people participating in the economy and workforce through education;

D) Transform lives within Indigenous communities through education; and

E) Collect and present data about Indigenous education to support good public policy.

How does Indspire decide how to award bursaries, scholarships and awards?

Student applications are assessed on financial need, merit and giving back (community involvement).
