CEPA Flight Training Scholarship Application Process 2025

The CEPA Flight Training Scholarship is open to all Chicago Executive Pilots Association members. All applicants must be members of The Chicago Executive Pilot’s Association at the time of submitting their scholarship applications. Please be sure to include your CEPA membership number on the Official Application. Applicant must be a flight student at an approved flight school at Chicago Executive Airport. You may apply for membership online here.

Application submission:

Please submit your FULLY COMPLETED AND SIGNED application via email to the Scholarship Chair (scholarship@pwkpilots.org). In the subject line, please write “CEPA 2025 Scholarship Application – FLIGHT TRAINING“. Expect a confirmation of receipt within 24 hours. Carefully review your application packet to be certain that all required items are included in your packet.

Completed application packets must be RECEIVED BY May 1, 2025. Scholarship packets shall contain:

1. Official application  signed and dated

2. Copies of current aviation and medical certificates

3. Copy of last 3 pages of entries in your pilot logbook

4. Your essay (one page) covering required information

  • Please be sure that your one-page essay addresses the following topics: aviation related activities in which you participate; your initial interest in aviation; your aviation career goals (if any) and how this scholarship will help you attain those goals; any challenges or obstacles that you have overcome to start or continue your aviation pursuits; how you plan to support the mission of Chicago Executive Pilots’ Association; what you feel uniquely qualifies you for this scholarship

5. Two letters of recommendation (one page max for each letter)

  • One from your CFI
  • One from someone outside of aviation who can attest to your character

THE COMPLETED APPLICATION SHALL INCLUDE ALL FORMS AND DOCUMENTS IN ONE PDF FILE, WITH THE 2 LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION AS THE LAST TWO PAGES

Scholarship winners will be notified on or before June 14, 2025.

All award money will be paid to the KPWK flight school, as determined by scholarship judges. A monthly report on progress will be expected from the winner.

Funds must be used by the winner prior to June 30, 2026.
