From the beginning, AAUW San Ramon has given back to the community and helped girls and women pursue their educational goals. The branch raises funds for scholarships for local high school seniors and for the Renaissance Scholars program at Cal State East Bay. Since 1983, AAUW San Ramon, has awarded scholarships to over 200 girls and young women.
This year we are proud to once again award $1,000 scholarships to deserving high school girls planning to attend an accredited college/university in the Fall of 2026.
AAUW San Ramon Local Scholarship
Application deadline is March 27, 2026
Scholarship Criteria:
- Applicants must be a female resident of San Ramon or attending a San Ramon High School, and
- Applicants must be planning to attend an accredited four-year college/university in Fall 2026
This scholarship will be awarded based on the following:
- Scholastic achievements
- Educational goals
- Community/campus involvement
- Alignment with our AAUW mission statement

Please be prepared to upload the following documents in PDF format:
- High School transcripts
- A copy of a college acceptance letter
- A personal statement
- Two (2) letters of recommendation (preferably from teachers/school staff/employers).
Letters of Recommendation
All applications will require two (2) letters of recommendation. Applicants may upload their letters of recommendation in PDF format at the time of completing their application, or those designated to write letters of recommendation may submit the letters themselves in PDF format using this Letter of Recommendation Google Form.
Letters of Recommendation should include:
- How long they have known the applicant.
- In what capacity do they know the applicant.
- Why the applicant is deserving of this scholarship.
- Any special circumstances they feel should be taken into consideration.
