Scholarships are awarded to sophomore status or higher majoring in Civil or Construction Engineering at ISU and U of I, and Construction Management at UNI. The amount of each scholarship is determined annually by the ICPA Executive Committee. Awards are presented during the month of February at ICPA’s Annual Concrete Paving Workshop.
The Iowa Ready Mixed Concrete Association (IRMCA) is pleased to announce its 2025 Scholarship Program. Scholarships will be awarded to college students seeking degrees in areas of study relating to careers in the ready-mixed concrete and construction/engineering industries. The amount of each scholarship will be determined annually by the IRMCA Scholarship/Educational Outreach Committee. Scholarships will be awarded in March 2025 at the IRMCA's Annual Convention.
STUDENT ELIGIBILITY:
- Civil or Construction Engineering with a sophomore status or higher attending Iowa State University, University of Iowa, or Dordt University, or
- Construction Management degree with a sophomore status or higher from University of Northern Iowa, MNSU-Mankato, or UW-Platteville, or
- An Iowa student pursuing a Concrete Industry Management degree from South Dakota State University
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY (For Students with immediate family working for an IRMCA Member):
- Student enrolled at an accredited two- or four-year institution of higher learning in Iowa, pursuing a degree in any area of study.
- Student shall have attained sophomore status or higher.
SELECTION PROCESS
- Selection of scholarship recipients will be made by the IRMCA Scholarship/Educational Outreach Committee. The awards will be based on the applicant’s demonstrated academic achievement, financial need, area of study as it relates to the industry, and other achievements and activities.
- While all eligible students will be considered for award, the Iowa Ready Mixed Concrete Association reserves the right to give preference to applicants who are:
- Residents of the state of Iowa
- Planning to live and work in Iowa after college
- Related to an employee of an IRMCA member company
- Experienced in the ready-mixed concrete industry
