2026 Dwyer Williams Cherkoss Attorneys, P.C. Law School Scholarship
As Oregon’s premier personal injury law firm, Dwyer Williams Cherkoss Attorneys, P.C. is proud to offer three scholarships to support students entering law school in Fall 2026. These awards are intended to help cover first-year expenses for students who have completed their undergraduate education and been accepted into an accredited U.S. law school.
Total Scholarships Awarded: $10,000
1st Place: $5,000
2nd Place: $3,000
3rd Place: $2,000
Eligibility
To qualify for the DWC Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States.
- Have received a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. undergraduate college.
- Have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0.
- Have acceptance to begin their first year of law school in Fall 2026.
Requirements
Applicants must submit the following materials by June 30, 2026:
- A completed Scholarship Application Form.
- A one to three (1-3) page typed essay. The topic is open-ended and may include personal or family history, achievements, overcoming adversity, volunteer experience, goals as a future lawyer, or any other subject of personal importance.
- A complete set of undergraduate college transcripts.
- Official or unofficial transcripts are accepted.
- If using services like Parchment, please note that access is time-sensitive and may expire before we’re able to retrieve the file.
- Proof of acceptance to an accredited U.S. law school.
- This may be a formal acceptance letter or an official email from the school.
- Proof of legal residency in the U.S.
- Acceptable forms include a state-issued ID, U.S. passport, birth certificate, or permanent resident card.
- A personal email address (or one you’ll have access to in late summer), so we can contact you if selected.
Award Details
- Scholarship funds must be used exclusively for law school tuition and related educational expenses.
- Checks will be made payable directly to the recipients’ law schools.
- Recipients will be required to submit receipts to ensure compliance with IRS regulations.
- Winners will be notified on or about August 15, 2026.
