​The Melissa A. Stoneberger Foundation Scholarship was created in memory of Melissa "Missy" Stoneberger to continue her life's work to create positive world change by helping those in need.

​The ideal candidate would be a highly motivated, full-time student who is involved in community, possesses strong leadership skills, follows a personal drive for positive change, and is inspired to help perpetuate Melissa's legacy. 

2024 Scholarship Process

The Melissa A. Stoneberger Foundation is now accepting applications for consideration for our 2024 Scholarships. All applications must be received by May 16, 2024. Click here to submit your application.

In order to be considered for this scholarship, please send us an essay covering the following points:

  • Describe your college goals, choice of major and future career aspirations. (300-500 words)
  • Outline your academic and non-academic accomplishments. (300-500 words)
  • Detail how do you plan to create a positive change and/or give back to the world. (300-500 words)
  • Explain why are you the best candidate to receive this candidate. (300-500 words)

Please be sure to also include the following information:

  • Full name
  • Mailing address (include full address including your state and zip code)
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Birth Date
  • Current school/college
  • Most recent cumulative GPA

Please include the following:

  • College Acceptance Letter or equivalent
  • Most recent school or college transcripts
  • Two reference letters (we prefer one academic and one personal)

Scholarship Awards

All scholarship recipients are required to provide their college financial aid address information, a short, personal passage about what it means to receive the scholarship, a current photo for website and media announcements and updates on college progress.
