The Alcanzando Un Sueño Scholarship supports Hispanic high school seniors transitioning to college with money to fund their first year of college. Since 2013, Cruz & Associates has awarded Atlanta and Phoenix students more than $250,000 in tuition assistance.
Applications are accepted online. Winners receive their awards at an annual scholarship dinner and reception where students and their families are honored along with a distinguished group of community leaders.
Requirements
- Georgia or Arizona Resident
- Be a current high school senior with the necessary credits to graduate
- Hispanic/Latino Heritage only (persons from Spain, Beliz, Surinam, Guyana and French Guiana are ineligible)
- Demonstrate bilingual skills (Spanish and English)
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher (High School Transcript Required)
- Must have completed the application form online
- Provide a Resume with all relevant extra-curricular and work experience
- Send two (2) letters of recommendation from non-family members
- At least one of them must come from a faculty member of your school
- Send a letter of acceptance to an institution of higher education (college, university, technical school)
- Provide a digital version of your yearbook picture or graduation headshots (no group pictures)
- All applications must be submitted or delivered to our office by May 1st
- All winners must attend the awards dinner or forfeit their prize
Online applications due by midnight on May 1st
Hard copies must arrive no later than May 1st at the close of business
