Never Satisfied Scholarship

For over 30 years, POET has been Never Satisfied with the status quo. We're producing bioproducts, biofuels, and nutrient-rich proteins that make our air cleaner, our country safer, and our future brighter. We're always looking for new ways to change the world.

POET Never Satisfied Scholarships are open to high school or college students enrolled for the coming Fall Semester in any two- or four-year post-secondary school, regardless of major or GPA. Never Satisfied Scholars receive up to $5,000 each, and will have the opportunity to receive a hands-on networking and learning experience with the POET team.

Applicant Eligibility

• Any individual who will be enrolled in a full-time, undergraduate degree program at a two-year or four-year university, college or technical school located in any state within the United States of America during the upcoming academic year
• No specific degree program requirements
• No minimum GPA
• U.S. Citizen

ESSAY QUESTIONS

1. We envision and work every day toward a more sustainable world; a world where we no longer take from our planet, but rather use its enormous ability to regenerate. Where we no longer rely on fossil fuels, but rather get what we need from the surface of the Earth. Tell us why you believe POET’s mission is important and how you think the biofuels industry can collaborate with other Never Satisfied individuals (like you) and companies to fight climate change and create a greener future. (350 words)
2. Being Never Satisfied doesn’t just mean you don’t settle for “good enough.” It means you are willing to break down barriers and overcome obstacles to achieve your goals. Tell us about a time when you were challenged by adversity and turned that challenge into an opportunity. (350 words)
3. At POET, we support those who strive to change the world – the trailblazers, innovators, dreamers, and doers. What is one problem or opportunity you see in the world, and how do you plan to use your education and career path to have an impact on it? (500 words)
