Here at Barbeques Galore, barbecuing and grilling is our passion. So, with all of the success we've received over the years, we want to help the next generation of chefs, grillers, and cooks. Barbeques Galore is pleased to provide a scholarship to upcoming high school graduates and current college students pursuing a culinary degree.
This scholarship is a contest-based scholarship awarded to students who are in good academic standing and meet all the requirements set in place. Students will be recognized for all their creative capacity and hard work with an opportunity to display their culinary skills.
The winners will be selected by the end of June 2023 and the winner will receive $1,000 toward their college tuition.
ELIGIBILITY
- Applicants are required to have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
- Applicant must be currently enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited US college or university for the academic year of 2023-2024.
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551
- Applicants must be a culinary major or any major related to food or agriculture.
REQUIREMENTS
- Submit an essay, film, short story, design, drawing, artwork, or any form of art they choose that is centered around this year’s chosen topic. This can be any type of art submission including (but not limited to) a painting, photograph, animation, video, film, or illustration.
- Topic: the art of barbecuing. Anything related to barbecuing, be it a BBQ grill, fire, flame, food, steak, or grilling.
