Awards and Bursaries
The ASTTBC Foundation provides thousands of dollars annually to support students in ASTTBC-recognized programs. Programs eligible for ASTTBC Foundation bursaries and awards.
High School Bursary
Each year, the Foundation provides a $1,000 bursary to a BC secondary school student who will be entering an applied science or engineering technology diploma program at one of BC’s post-secondary institutes in their graduation year. Application deadline date is August 15th of each year.
Post Secondary Awards and Bursaries
To be eligible to receive an ASTTBC Foundation bursary or award, you must be a student enrolled in a full-time technology program recognized by ASTTBC.
Students should apply through the Awards Office of their post-secondary institute or check with their instructors.
ASTTBC High School Bursary
The Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia (ASTTBC) Foundation offers an annual bursary to a BC high school graduate entering an applied science or engineering technology diploma program at an ASTTBC-recognized program at one of the following post-secondary institutes:
- Brighton College
- British Columbia Institute of Technology
- Camosun College
- College of New Caledonia
- Kwantlen Polytech University
- North Island College
- Okanagan College
- Selkirk College
- Thompson Rivers University
The bursary is valued at $1,000 and awarded based on a combination of factors including academic standing, financial need, and a student’s statement. If you have any questions about the bursary, please email foundation@asttbc.org.

Submit an Application
Complete and email the application form below to the ASTTBC Foundation at foundation@asttbc.org. You can expect to receive an email response within 3 business days acknowledging our receipt of your application.
Deadline Date: August 15, 2024 at 6:00 pm PST.
Review Process
Applications are reviewed by the volunteer board of the ASTTBC Foundation. The successful applicant will be notified in September 2024 however the bursary cheque is only issued after proof of enrolment in an eligible technology program is received.
The information that you provide in your application is required for assessment purposes only and is kept confidential by the ASTTBC Foundation and those involved in the assessment process. The bursary is awarded based on a combination of factors, including academic standing, financial need, and student’s statement.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this $1,000 bursary, the applicant must be:
- Graduate from a BC secondary school in 2024.
- Entering an ASTTBC-recognized applied science or engineering technology diploma program at one of BC’s post-secondary institutes in fall 2024.
