The Dickey’s Barbecue Scholarship Program is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to 3 lucky students who meet all the requirements set in place. Students will be recognized for all their capacity and hard work with an opportunity to lead and serve. The scholarship from Dickey’s Barbecue Pit will grant these 3 students with $1,000 toward their college tuition.
WHO:
The application will be open to all upcoming high school graduates and current college students pursuing higher education.
WHEN:
The application enrollment period will be open from May 10th to July 15th. Please submit all required forms and supporting documents by the deadline to be considered for the scholarship.
REQUIREMENTS:
A) Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale – will need to provide transcript
B) Pursuing higher education (Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree, Doctoral, etc.)
C) Required Essay: 2 pages (APA format with work cited, double spaced, TNR, 12 pt. font)
D) Topic: How will this scholarship help you? How do you plan to contribute to your community to give back?
STEPS:
Apply for the scholarship program with all required fields:
A) Be sure to submit your transcript, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
B) Candidates must be accruing a higher education to be approved for this scholarship.
C) A 2-page essay will also need to be submitted by the application deadline. This essay is to be in APA format with a work cited page. Please use Times New Roman with a 12-point font. Applicants will be categorized by pools of applicants on education levels. These applications will be evaluated then selected, and the chosen applicant will be awarded on .
