At Buzzell, Welsh & Hill, we know how much of a challenge it can be to afford an education after high school, whether that's a college degree, a graduate degree or technical training. That's why we're pleased to announce our 3rd annual Scholarship Contest, meant to help the next generation of college and technical school students bring their goals to life.
Help design a better driver education curriculum
According to a recent report by Harris Poll and Volvo Car USA, 52 percent of Americans believe that the driver education process is outdated. The current licensing system centers on a written test and a short practical exam. Unsurprisingly, most driver education programs train teens to pass the test, resulting in only limited time behind the wheel. Is that really the best approach to create safe, confident and conscientious drivers?
How to apply?
We want to give you the chance to change things. For this year's contest, we invite students to create a new driver education program or process that could work in your own town. Use text, video, graphics and other media to outline your curriculum, demonstrating how it's better than the current approach. Brevity and clarity are best! Your entry should take the judges only about 3 minutes to review.
The most creative concept will win, and the applicant will be awarded a $2,500 scholarship for the 2021 fall semester.
Who can apply?
The Buzzell, Welsh and Hill College Scholarship Program is open to United States citizens or permanent US residents who currently attend or plan to attend an accredited United States college, university, or technical/trade school during the Fall 2021 semester.
Applicants must provide all requested information by the deadline. Any missing or incorrect information may disqualify any applicant or scholarship award recipient.
