To honor his legacy, Living for Zachary is committed to supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals through scholarships that assist in placing more Heart Heroes in our community.  On an annual basis, Living for Zachary awards scholarships to students who display academic achievement and professional goals aligned with our mission of saving lives from sudden cardiac arrest.  In addition, we carry on the Spirit of Zachary through scholarships awarded to students at Zac’s alma mater, Plano East Senior High School.

Living for Zachary Annual Scholarships

Dallas College El Centro Campus – Cardiac Sonography Program ($5,000): Awarded to 2 students

Baylor Scott & White Health – Living for Zachary Adult Echocardiography Tuition Scholarship ($5,000): Awarded to 1 student

Plano East Senior High School “Spirit of Zachary” Football Scholarship ($1,000): Awarded to 1 student

Plano East Senior High School “Spirit of Zachary” Athletic Trainer Scholarship ($1,000): Awarded to 1 student

SCHOLARSHIPS

Current and incoming students: mySCHOLARSHIPS will automatically match you to scholarships for which you meet the eligibility requirements. To be matched, you must complete the General Application. The Scholarship Selection Committee will review applicants who submit an essay and references. Meeting the eligibility requirements does not guarantee you will be offered a scholarship. The “Action” column below will show “None” for all the scholarships you could be matched to if you meet the requirements by only submitting the General Application.

RECOMMENDED SCHOLARSHIPS

After submitting the General Application, a list of recommended scholarships will display under the Opportunities tab. The “Action” column below will show a red “Apply” button. These scholarships require additional information specific to that scholarship, and you must apply to be considered for that scholarship.

SCHOLARSHIP COMMUNICATIONS

All scholarship communications will be sent to your Dallas College Student email, please check your email on a regular basis for scholarship offers and new opportunities.

You may also check the status of your applications by clicking on the red “Sign In” button in the upper right corner of this page. You will use your Dallas College Student email and password to sign in.

If you received a scholarship, it will be applied to your Dallas College student account approximately one (1) week before fall classes begin.
