eCYBERMISSION Awards

This year marks the 22nd year of the eCYBERMISSION competition and we hope you will be a part of it. There are several opportunities available, whether you are a student, Team Advisor, or Volunteer. Please visit the links below to register and participate in eCYBERMISSION 2023-2024.

Student: Form a team of 2, 3, or 4 students and work together to identify a problem in the community and use scientific inquiry or engineering design to propose solutions to that problem. Compete for State, Regional, and National Awards.

Team Advisor: Lead teams of students as they use project-based learning to complete a Mission Folder.

Virtual Judge: Volunteer from your computer. Participate as a Virtual Judge and score student submissions, called Mission Folders. Student participants will receive your scores and read your comments.

CyberGuide: Participate in CyberGuide Live Chats and provide online assistance to Students. *Requires a satisfactory background check conducted by eCYBERMISSION.

Ambassador: Promote eCYBERMISSION to teachers, parents, schools, and any other interested student organizations across the nation. Encourage other individuals to become eCYBERMISSION volunteers. *Requires a satisfactory background check conducted by eCYBERMISSION.

Each grade level participating in eCYBERMISSION will receive the following awards:

State Awards:

First-Place State Winners - U.S. Series EE Savings Bond worth $500 on the purchase date and $1,000 at maturity per student.

Second-Place State Winners - U.S. Series EE Savings Bond worth $250 on the purchase date and $500 at maturity per student.

Honorable Mention Awards - Award certificate.

Regional Awards:

Regional Finalists - U.S. Series EE Savings Bond purchased at the value of the State Award plus an additional $500 on the purchase date ($1,000 at maturity) per student.

Regional Winners - U.S. Series EE Savings Bond purchased at the cumulative value of the State Award and Regional Finalist Award plus an additional $1,000 on the purchase date ($2,000 at maturity) per student. All Regional Winners also receive an all-expenses paid trip to the National Judging & Educational Event to compete for the National Winner Award.

National Awards:

National Winners - U.S. Series EE Savings Bond purchased at the cumulative value of the State Award, Regional Finalist Award, and Regional Winner Award plus an additional $3,000 on the purchase date ($6,000 at maturity).

Please note that all U.S. Series EE Savings Bonds are purchased at half of their mature value. The maturation period of U.S. Series EE Savings Bonds is 30 years.
