Our veterans of the United States Armed Forces have placed their civilian lives on hold while serving our country at home and abroad. As these men and women retire from the military we at the Keller Law Offices wish to thank them for their years of service. Each year we are offering a $1,000 scholarship to a military veteran or immediate family member to help him/her receive the training needed for their chosen civilian career.

Essay Subject

Write an essay of 500 words or less.

Veteran:

Describe the two most important things you learned about life during your military career and how these may have affected your civilian career choice.

Family member:

Discuss what advice you would give to a younger person whose parent(s) is serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Keller Law Offices and kellerlawoffices.com reserve the right to publish the winning essay.

Eligibility Criteria

This scholarship is open to military veterans of the United States Armed Forces and to their immediate family members (parents, children, and grandchildren) who will be enrolled full time in an accredited community college, college or university, trade, or vocational school in the fall of 2020.

How to Apply

All applications must be filled out and materials received via the form below by July 15, 2020. Applications submitted via any other channel will not be considered. Applications submitted after this date will not be considered. The decision of the committee is final. Keller Law Offices has the sole right to resolve any disputes which may arise in the selection of the award winner. There will only be one award allotted.

The winner will be notified by email or phone by August 15, 2020. Scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to the educational institution for tuition only.

The winner must provide proof of military service along with honorable discharge; if a family member, provide proof of the relationship to the veteran and proof of military service along with honorable discharge.

Our scholarship recipient will also be asked to submit a current photo to be published in an announcement to recognize this year's winner on our website.
