We are Panasphere, Inc, one of the leading providers for bold yet elegant surface selections featuring natural wood grains, stone surfaces and artistic patterns.
If you've ever wondered what you can do with a sheet of thermally fused laminate (TFL), our answer is just about anything you can imagine! We believe in the power of bringing elements of nature indoors and design our surfaces to reflect the beauty of wood and stone in their physical state and allow that authenticity to show through.
THE COMPETITION
A) Our 2020 Student Design Competition combines our materials with your imagination.
B) It is limited to 10 participants with 3 winners awarded a scholarship to aid in their education.
C) The amounts range from $500 to $2,000.
D) The goal is to show how our materials can be repurposed in unique and artistic ways.
ELIGIBILITY
A) All applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student at a Texas college or university for the 2020-2021 school year.
B) You must be in a design-focused major including, but not limited to, Art, Industrial and Product Design, Interior Design, Architecture or Civil Engineering.
C) You must be able to personally handpick your materials at our The Woodlands, TX location.
D) Once an applicant has been awarded a Panasphere Student Design scholarship, he/she is ineligible to apply again even if they still meet the application criteria.
TIMING
A) The application window runs from March 20, 2020 through May 8, 2020.
B) Those who are selected to participate will be notified by May 22, 2020.
C) Two-week window to pick up supplies in June 2020.
D) Judging is scheduled to take place in July 2020.
E) Winners are announced in July 2020.
