Educational Journey Scholarship

Scholarship Value: $1,000
Awards Available: 1

The attorneys at Nicol Gersch Law want to emphasize the importance of receiving an education. As criminal defense lawyers, Justie Nicol and Jennifer Gersch have seen the impact having an education can have on our youth and where they end up in life time and time again. Receiving an education can allow individuals to pursue careers and opportunities that they might not have otherwise. That being said, an education can be very expensive and can be extremely difficult to attain financially.

Justie and Jennifer believe it is essential to lead by example and to work hard to earn your degree by whatever means are necessary. While receiving her law degree at the University of Denver, Justie also worked as a law clerk, and won a number of scholarships based on merit and need. Justie also paid her way through Colorado State University with grants and scholarships which she pieced together to give herself a full ride, all while working and maintaining a full credit load for undergraduate, as well. Now, as a first-generation student who's achieved success as an entrepreneur and business owner she wants to give back in the same way: by providing the next generation of students with some financial help in order to make their dreams come true.

We want you to tell us why you are passionate about your studies, and how you plan to use your degree upon graduation. This $1,000 scholarship from Nicol Gersch Law will be awarded to the student whose essay best conveys how they plan to make their dreams come true. Points will be awarded for creativity and passionate writing.
