The APIA Scholarship is open to Asian and Pacific Islander American students who will be enrolling or are currently enrolled in a U.S. accredited college or university as a degreeseeking undergraduate student.

APIA Scholars seeks to provide scholarships to underserved APIA students, with a special focus on individuals who:

A) Are living at or below the poverty level, or are otherwise of low socioeconomic status

B) Are the first in their family to attend college

C) Represent the diversity geographically and ethnically of the APIA community, especially those who have historically and currently been underrepresented on college campuses

D) Have demonstrated commitment to their community through leadership and service

Eligibility Criteria:

A) Identify as Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census

B) Must be a citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the U.S. Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau are also eligible

C) Must be enrolling/enrolled as an undergraduate student at a U.S. accredited institution in the academic year following the application's submission

D) Have a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale or have earned a GED

E) Must apply for federal financial aid using the FAFSA
