For the 6th year in a row, SimpleTexting is excited to offer a $1,000 college scholarship to a deserving high school senior or current college student. If you are currently enrolled in college or headed there in 2020-21, and want to win a $1,000 college scholarship to help cover expenses, consider entering the SimpleTexting College Scholarship Contest. SimpleTexting will award a $1,000 college scholarship to a highly motivated student who can thoughtfully respond to the below prompt.
The Prompt:
In a year with so much uncertainty, where physical, financial, and mental health have been put in jeopardy, reaching out to loved ones through a phone call, email, or text can have large and lasting positive impacts. Tell us how texting specifically has helped sustain and strengthen your relationships during the age of COVID-19. What text messages have you sent to friends, family, and loved ones during the pandemic that you believe had the most positive impact?
How to Enter:
A) Answer the prompt above in 800 words or less.
B) Though your response should be concise, there's no need to use SMS language or texting acronyms.
C) Create a document in Google Docs and submit your response on this form. Be sure to change the settings on your Google Doc to allow anyone to view.
D) The file name of your Google Doc should be your full name and date of birth. Example: John-Doe-1-15-1999.
E) Submission must be received by midnight on February 5, 2021.
Here's How You Win:
A) Send us your response, following the guidelines above.
B) We will pick a winner by Feb. 26, 2021, and notify you. (It's subjective; we're going to pick our favorite response.)
C) We will email you to confirm your mailing address, and send you a check, or Visa gift card in the mail for $1,000.
D) We will announce the winner on our company blog.

A) You must be a graduating senior in high school or a freshman, sophomore, or junior in college in the US Territories.
B) You must be graduating high school or in college and between the ages of 16 and 22.
