Judge Jerri Lee Mills served the citizens of Brazoria County as judge for 24 years before retiring at the end of 2018. She embodied a jurist that had a strong work ethic, high moral standards, and fairness who was extremely dedicated to the citizens of Brazoria County. The Brazoria County Bar Association sponsored this scholarship in her name.

Students applying to an A.B.A-accredited law school for Fall 2019, or will be attending their 2L or 3L law school year at an A.B.A.-accredited law school in Fall 2019 are eligible to apply. Furthermore, the applicant must have graduated high school from a public or private high school in Brazoria County, Texas and/or currently reside in Brazoria County, Texas.
