Mr. McNamara is passionate about giving back to the community and wants to ensure students feel safe on campus and in the community. That is why he is excited to announce The Safer Community Scholarship, which will award $1,000 to a student who is passionate about giving back to the community, and creating a safe environment for all.
Students interested in applying for this scholarship must write a 750-1000 word essay discussing how they helped someone overcome an obstacle, made someone feel welcome or enacted change on their campus or in their community.
Scholarship Eligibility
To be eligible for The Safer Community Scholarship applicants must be enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program. Applicants may still submit an application if awaiting admission or deciding on an institution, however, the selected individual must be enrolled for the Fall 2019 semester before receiving the financial aid.

C) A 750-1,000 word essay discussing how you enact change on your campus or in your community. Explain how you embrace this and work to create a safer community and environment for all.
