In 2018, Forestry Friendly Communities will award three Education & Training Scholarships of up to $1,500 each to British Columbians pursuing forestry-related post-secondary education or training in BC. This includes forestry-specific training, as well as trades training leading to a job within the forest industry.

Funding for the Forestry Proud scholarship was made possible through a program called Toques for Tuition. Forestry workers, their families, and others purchased $25 Forestry Proud toques from Forestry Friendly Communities, with 100% of proceeds directed to the scholarship fund.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ELIGIBILITY
A) Applicant is a resident of British Columbia.
B) Applicant will be pursuing post-secondary or training in British Columbia during the 2018/19 school year. This can include education in a forestry program or training in a trades program leading to a job in the forest industry.
C) A completed application form.
D) A letter of recommendation. This could be from a teacher, coach, or employer, or someone else who knows you well. It cannot be from a family member.
