In keeping with their pledge to facilitate access to justice and a fair chance at a productive life for all Alabamans, attorneys Mark B. Polson and Whitney B. Polson have established the Polson & Polson, P.C. Conquering Adversity Scholarship.
This financial award of $500 will be presented each year to a student pursuing higher education who clearly demonstrates the characteristics of perseverance, determination and unwavering commitment to triumphing over roadblocks on the path to individual success as well as overall civic betterment.
Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The Polson & Polson, P.C. Conquering Adversity Scholarship is available to individuals currently enrolled in a course of study at any duly accredited community or junior college, undergraduate or graduate degree program anywhere in the United States. Also eligible are high school graduates or GED holders who are about to embark on college-level studies.
Strong candidates for this award will be able to demonstrate their dedication to serving the communities in which they live while steadfastly standing firm in the face of hardship, whether personal, financial, legal or societal in nature.
Potential recipients of the scholarship must show proof of good academic standing from their current educational institution, as evidenced by a minimum cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0.
