The National Corn Growers Association and BASF Corporation will award five $1,500 scholarships to undergraduate students pursuing a degree in any field.
BASF is creating a program to bring the scholarship winners to one of their facilities and meet with their key staff. BASF will contact the scholarship winners in early 2020 with those program details.
A) Applicant must be entering at least his/her second undergraduate year at an accredited college or university.
B) Applicant must be an NCGA member or son/daughter of an NCGA member.
C) Employees and the families of employees of NCGA or any division of BASF or their subsidiaries are not eligible for the scholarship.
D) Applications must be submitted by December 4, 2020.
E) Scholarships are for one year. Previous recipients may not apply.
Application Packet Must Include:
A) Completed application
B) Current transcript from junior college, college or university
C) Three (3) letters of recommendation (at least two must be from non-family members, and one should be from a faculty member)
D) Current resume
E) 500-word essay, limited to 1-page, on "How will YOU positively impact agriculture in your future career?"
F) 4-5 paragraphs explaining "What are the three most important issues facing agriculture today?"
