Applicants who meet the following criteria may apply for a scholarship:
A) Be of Hawaiian ancestry
B) College-bound high school students or currently enrolled college students, enrolled full-time
C) Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 for high school students/undergraduates and 3.3 for graduate
D) Demonstrate academic and leadership potential
April 1 for the Fall start of the school year.
Applications are reviewed by a committee in May/June and recommendations are made to the Board of Directors. Awardees are notified by August 1.
Preference to students of Hawaiian or part-Hawaiian ancestry.
Enrollment full-time in an accredited two- or four-year institution of higher education.
High school seniors or college students may apply.
Community service or volunteer work highly desirable.
Varies from $500 to $1000 per scholarship.
