For a scholarship application to be processed, the following information must be postmarked by August 31st of current year.
A) Scholarship candidate's name, address, phone number, email address
B) Scholarship candidate's date of birth, place of birth, gender and marital status
C) Scholarship candidate's resume or curriculum vitae
D) Two (2) letters of recommendation from experts such as (but not limited to) college professors who can vouch for the candidate's credentials and academic achievements
E) 500 word essay from the applicant discussing career goals
F) Photocopy of Diving Certification card(s)
Criteria/Terms:
1. A resident of the United States or Canada
2. A certified scuba diver
3. Currently enrolled in a graduate school program (Masters or PhD) in any of the following diving fields of study. NOTE: graduates do not qualify
A) Aquatic Biology, Ecology, and other Marine Science Related Fields
B) Marine Conservation and Education
C) Diving Medicine and Hyperbarics
D) Ocean Engineering
E) Underwater Archeology
4. Complete the application form
5. Resume or Curriculum Vitae
6. 500 Word Essay (please include how you would use the grant money)
7. Include 2 letters of recommendation
8. Photocopies of all diving certification cards
9. Complete application packets must be mailed
