eQuality Scholarship Collaborative has fostered student leadership for more than 30 years. In 2020, our cumulative scholarship awards surpassed $1,600,000.
eQuality Scholarship Collaborative awards scholarships to honor and encourage California students for their service to the lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender community.
In general, eligible students fall into one of these categories:
A) Resident of northern or central California who completed or expects to complete high school or equivalent between 1 Jul 2015 and 30 Jun 2020;
B) Resident of northern or central California who completed or expects to complete community college between 1 Jul 2015 and 30 Jun 2020;
C) Enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited ADN or BSN RN program in California; or
D) Pursuing a graduate degree in another health care field at an accredited graduate school in California or as a California resident attending an accredited graduate school elsewhere in the United States
Scholarships may be used for post-secondary education at accredited institutions - colleges, universities, and trade schools. Some of the scholarships are specifically for nursing or graduate school.
In 2020, eQuality awarded scholarships to 14 graduating high school seniors, two community college transfer students, one nursing student, and four graduate health care students. We expect to award a similar number of scholarships in 2021.
