SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarships to deserving Louisiana students who are or will be majoring in an insurance related field at a Louisiana university, college, or community college.
Students meeting the criteria will be awarded a scholarship to be used toward the following, in order of priority: tuition and fees; room and board; books and supplies; and commuting expenses. The scholarship recipient will be selected by a Scholarship Advisory Committee. This year, the Fund will make available a four year scholarship, payable $1,000 a semester for eight semesters, with a total value of $8,000 to a qualified candidate.
To maintain the scholarship, the recipient must maintain a minimum 2.5 overall GPA each semester and continue to demonstrate good character. At the end of each semester, the recipient will provide the Foundation with an official transcript, proof of full time enrollment for the next semester, and a signed statement verifying the student is still pursuing a degree in an insurance related field. The subsequent scholarship check will be issued only upon receipt of these materials.
