This scholarship was made possible through the generosity of Mildred Ryan Disher who directed that a portion of her estate be used to establish a fund at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region to provide scholarships for students entering the field of veterinary science.
Eligibility:
Graduating high school seniors who reside in the Fox Cities (Appleton, Freedom, Kaukauna, Menasha, Neenah; towns of Buchanan, Clayton, Grand Chute, Greenville, Harrison, Kaukauna, Menasha, Neenah, Vandenbroek, and villages of Combined Locks, Hortonville, Kimberly, Little Chute and Sherwood) and are pursuing a career in veterinary science.
Financial need will be taken into consideration.
Award Amount:
Number of awards may vary. University award amount is $1,500 per year renewable for up to four years (total $6,000) to a student attending a four - year college or university in a pre-veterinary program of study.
Technical college award is $1,000 per year renewable for up to two years (total $2,000) to a student attending a technical college in a two-year veterinary science program.
