The $1,000 Ron Sweeney Rising Star Award is open to high school students who have been a member in good standing for at least one year and demonstrate extraordinary community volunteerism in addition to superior academic achievement. Only one award is available across the entire membership.
Applicants must be residents of British Columbia, but may attend a university or college anywhere in Canada.
The following members are more than welcome to apply:
High school graduates wishing to pursue post-secondary education on a full-time basis.
University, college or trade students (including mature students) continuing their post-secondary education on a full-time basis.
New and existing Prospera Credit Union members (account can be opened any time prior to submitting your application).

Full-Time Student: Enrollment in at least 60% (40% for students with permanent disabilities and those applying for All Star Awards) of a full-time course load for credit, for a period of at least 12 consecutive weeks at a designated school.
