St. Jerome’s residence can accommodate 285 students: the J.R. Finn residence houses can house 140 men in double rooms, while 145 women can be accommodated in Sweeney Hall's double and single rooms. New students who plan to live in these campuses are guaranteed a slot in the campus list. They are given the option to choose where they want to live, depending on the ease and convenience of the student. However, they should make sure that they meet all the requirements for the student residency, such as meeting the deadlines and completing the Residence Community Ranking Form.
St. Jerome's University offers services to students through food services, which includes nineteen meals per week and served in the Community Centre. Usually, there are breakfast, lunch, and dinner servings from Mondays to Fridays, and a brunch and dinner servings on Saturdays and Sundays. Safety, Security and Health services are also a priority of the university, and some of the services that they give are health services, which provides family physicians for registered part-time, full-time, graduate and undergraduate students; counselling services, which helps give free and private counseling to individuals and groups through the help of qualified professionals and staff; campus police, CCTV cameras, WALKSAFE program, which is a complimentary service that is given by the University of Waterloo Community by its Police Service. Usually, security members will escort you to buses, vehicles, cabs, and also meet you at parking lots, bus stops and residences. The university also offers safety vans for students, which is a service given during the first day of registration to the last day of exams. The bus leaves from the Student Life Centre at 6:00 p.m. in the winter or 9:00 p.m in the summer and runs until 1:00 a.m.
St. Jerome's University specializes in twelve scholastic disciplines, undergraduate Arts and Mathematics courses, and four interdisciplinary areas that include: Medieval Studies, Italian Studies, Sexuality, Marriage, and Family Studies, and Legal Studies. Their programs are still rooted towards Catholic doctrines, and its graduate program, "Master of Catholic Thought," is offered to Catholic social leaders in the community. It is designed to meet the needs of Catholics leaders in the areas of social services, education, and health care. Another notable program for international service learning is the Beyond Borders Program. It offers students at St. Jerome's and the University of Waterloo an educational experience that gives students the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to put their faith and education in practice on different parts of the globe.
