Briercrest College and Seminary was established in 1935 as a private Christian post-secondary educational institution situated in Caronport, Saskatchewan, Canada. The College started as a home bible study activity in Briercrest Village. When the community formed a new church, the Briercrest Gospel Assembly, the community-dwellers wanted to open a Bible school together with acquiring a new pastor for their church. About Briercrest Bible College and Seminary

... school purchased the Royal Airforce Base in Caron and converted the grounds into staff housing, offices, classrooms, and dormitories. Its mission is to “call students to seek the kingdom of God, to be shaped profoundly by the scriptures, and to be formed spiritually and intellectually for lives of service."

Campus: Facilities, Residence and Location

The landmark of the campus is the 2,400-seat Hildebrand Chapel. Other facilities located at the campus include: a 42-room inn, nine student dormitories, a double-court gymnasium, a renovated dining hall, a 25,000 sq/ft. library, a recording studio, tennis courts, a Subway franchise, a hockey arena, two coffee shops, and many sports fields.

Students can purchase privately-owned houses on campus. Houses or basement suites can also be rented. Units include: one bedroom unfurnished apartments, two bedroom unfurnished apartments, and one bedroom furnished apartments. All of the units include utilities except television, phone, and cable. Other kinds of accommodation include: two bedroom duplex no basement, two bedroom duplex with basement, three bedroom duplex, two bedroom fiveplex, three bedroom fiveplex, three bedroom modular homes, and four bedroom modular homes. Its college dormitories include the following: Sundbo Place (married students); Sinclair Whittaker (men), often called "Whit"; Lewis Apartments (men), known fondly as "LA"; Isabel Whittaker (women), often called "Whit"; Hillson Hall (varies between being a women's and men's residence from year to year); Eliason Manor (men) built in 2005; Brygmann Hall (men), often know as "Brygg"; and Bergren Place(women).

Student Services and Student Life

It’s not difficult for students to get lost in their recreational activities inside the campus. From grabbing a Starbucks coffee or a Subway sandwich at the student centre; participating in sports, drama, art or music; hanging out in the dormitories and creating lifelong friendships; emailing friends or surfing the Internet at the computer terminals; participating in the recreational activities organized by the Student Leadership Team and enjoying the Christian conferences and concerts that happen annually at the campus – every student will surely find some activity to make their stay at the college more enjoyable and memorable. Students can also broaden their horizon and join some of the indoor and outdoor activities outside the campus, such as: Lasertag, CFL football games;Coffee shops; Mini-Golf Mineral spa; Paintball; Waterslides; Go-Kart racing; Shopping; Batting cages; Hockey games; Rodeo Libraries; Amusement park; Regina Symphony Orchestra; Roller blading; Globe Theatre; Walking/biking trails; Centre of the Arts; Canoeing/kayaking; Swimming pools; Mountain biking; Joe’s Place; Youth Centre; Skiing/snowboarding; Wall climbing; Camping; Movies; Fishing Restaurants; Hunting; Bowling; Skateboard park; Billiards; Horseback riding; and Golf.

The Briercrest College sports teams are popularly known as the Briercrest College Clippers. They are one of the competitive teams that play in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference, and their sports include: volleyball, hockey, and basketball. The College also offers its students sports facilities that can help keep the fitness and sports buffs active throughout the year. They include: the Gymnasium, Weight Room, Cardio Room, Ice Arena, Athletic Lounge, Outdoor Volleyball Court, Football and Soccer Fields, Baseball Fields, and an Outdoor Running Track.

Academic Programs

The College offers the following programs: Bible and Theology (Biblical Studies , Theological Studies); Christian Ministry (Christian Ministry, Global Studies: TESOL, Global Studies, Music, and Youth Ministry); Arts and Science (Humanities, Social Sciences); Trans-Divisional Programs (Business Administration); and Certificate Programs (Discovery Certificate, Kaleo Certificate).

Scholarships and Financial Aid

Briercrest College and Seminary offers scholarship awards to deserving students. They include: President’s Scholarship, Dean’s Scholarships, Athletic Scholarships, Worship Arts Scholarships, Back to Briercrest Scholarship, and All Other Scholarships (based on academic merit).
