Crandall University, once named the United Baptist Bible Training School, was founded in 1949. It initially focused on serving as a secondary school and a Bible school, but over two decades, it slowly shifted to providing post-secondary programs, and changed its name to Atlantic Baptist University in 1996. Recently, however, the school has announced that it had changed its name again to Crandall University, in honor of Rev. Joseph Crandall, New Brunswick’s pioneering Baptist minister. Campus: Facilities, Residence and Location

The University is situated in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, and is affiliated with the Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches, Acadia Divinity College, Affiliate institution of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, Canadian Council of Christian Charities, and Evangelical Fellowship of Canada. The University offers students on-campus residences. The Colbourne Residence is designed to support the students in their academic career, and Crandall University works hard to promote the kind of environment that supports the students’ personal success, spiritual development, community development, academic achievement, accountability, and responsibility through the environment and facilities that Coulbourne Residence offers.

Student Services and Student Life

Students can take advantage of the competitive programs that are offered by the University. The Varsity Sports Team are recruiting athletes for the Ladies' Basketball, Men's Basketball, Men's Baseball, Women's Soccer Varsity Teams. It offers many diverse activities that focuses on staying active in a less competitive environment. Some of the activities that are included are: Downhill Skiing, Skating, Hiking, Volleyball, Dodge Ball, Flag Football Badminton, Basketball, Indoor Soccer, and Softball. Students who are into fitness and wellness can also go to ABU Wellness; ABU Fitness Room (contains exercise bikes, steppers, free weights, multigym and other equipment to support the goals of the exercise buffs); the Running Club offers another option for those who love outdoor activities. Members meet every Mondays and Wednesdays in the Great Hall and usually run on the ABU Track and the Mapleton Park.

Crandall University offers the following programs: BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION; BACHELOR OF EDUCATION; BACHELOR OF ARTS (Biblical Studies, Religious Studies, History, English, Communications, Psychology, Sociology, Organizational Management, and Interdisciplinary Studies); BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (Biology).

Scholarships and Financial Aid

The University offers scholarships and bursaries to deserving students who show exceptional academic performance. Some of them include: The Atlantic Baptist University Alumni Scholarship and the 60-64 Alumni Bursary Fund.
