Okanagan College started in 1963 and assumed an important role in the region’s development. Its name was changed into Okanagan University College (OUC) in 1995, but was later changed back to Okanagan College in 2005, with OUC becoming divided into two institutions: UBC Okanagan and Okanagan College. Campus: Facilities, Residence and Location

Okanagan College covers around 38,000 square kilometers of land, and it extends itself from Osyoos and Princeton in the south and west to Mica Creek and Revelstoke in the north and east. The region is popular for its scenic lakes and mountains, with a high quality of living and an all-year round activities in the region. It has four campuses: Kelowna, Penticton, Salmon Arm, and Vernon. There are also the Daycare Building, Centre For Learning, Cafeteria, Library Building, Student Services Building, and Trades Building.

The College offers affordable accommodation inside the campus. The Student Residence (Skaha Place) offers furnished, non smoking residences at the Kelowna campus. It is only a few steps away from food services, recreational and fitness facilities, libraries, and classrooms. The Public bus service can also be accessed, along with the on-campus Wellness Centre that looks after the health and nutritional needs of the residents. Students can use the on-campus recreation facilities that include sports fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, and weight training rooms. These give the students a unique experience of combining academics, leadership, recreational, and social activities to make their student experience more fulfilling and memorable.

The Kelowna Campus also offers a number of recreational activities that students can take part in.
