The city of Fontana was founded during the year 1913 and has ever since grown to a population of 190,356 residents. The city is located within San Bernardino County, with the Interstate 15 passing diagonally through the northwest part of the city and the State Route 2010 and Interstate 20 intersecting the city from east to west. The cities financial system was primarily rural until WWII, When Henry J. Kaiser constructed a large steel mill in the city. This has since been replaced with the Auto Club Speedway.
