The city of Cleveland Heights is situated in the county of Cuyahoga in Ohio State. The city benefits from being just a few miles east of Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland Heights has a population of 49,958 and a total area of 21 km2. Cleveland Heights has a huge amount of water since it is situated within the Dugway Brook Watershed.

Cleveland Heights is noted for its various modern and historic buildings, ranging from Arts and Crafts bungalows and front-porch Colonials to stately Tudors, historic mansions and ultramodern condominiums. The city of Cleveland Heights is known for its tree-lined streets, traditional "main street" shopping, excellent recreational facilities, beautiful parks, entertainment places, amazing restaurants and more. The Cleveland Heights-University Heights School is really proud of a world-class library, and a variety of parochial and private schools are situated here.

When the area was initially inhabited in the early 1800s, the city of Cleveland Heights was mostly a farming community. The area was first part of East Cleveland and it is located on a plateau helping to give it it's name, "Cleveland Heights." In 1903, the village of Cleveland Heights was incorporated and during 1921 it became a city. In the year 1873, John D. Rockefeller owned land in what is currently the city of Cleveland Heights. His huge 700-acre estate was donated to Cleveland Heights during 1938 and became Forest Hill Park, located along the boundary of East Cleveland and Cleveland Heights. The land was mined in the past for bluestone and there is still a road named Bluestone in that area.

Many of the tourists who come through the region would spend the day at the Forest Hills Park. The city is also near the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Cleveland Botanical Garden, Children's Museum of Cleveland, Cleveland Museum of Contemporary Arts, Great Lake Science Center and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.
