The WAI2024 scholarships are awarded during the 35th Annual Women in Aviation International Conference at the Orlando World Center Marriott, March 21–23, 2024, in Orlando, Florida.
APPLICATION REMINDERS
- Be a WAI member by October 1, 2023, and active through March 2024.
- Apply for up to three scholarships (internships are not included in the three-per-member limit).
- Most scholarships are awarded at the 35th Annual Women in Aviation International Conference in Orlando, Florida, March 21–23, 2024.
- Submit your application only when you have all the required files ready.
- Most applications are submitted online by the October 12, 2023, deadline. However, a few require mailed applications only.
The requirements listed below are the minimum for all scholarships unless otherwise indicated. Some scholarships may require additional information.
Please read the description thoroughly to make sure you meet all requirements.
ALL APPLICATIONS SHOULD INCLUDE:
- two (one-page) recommendation letters
- typed, descriptive 500-word essay
- professional resume
- copies of all aviation and medical certificates and the last three pages of your pilot logbook (if applying for flight training scholarships)
- other applicable information as requested for each specific award/grant scholarship
- official WAI application form
Delta Air Lines Engineering Scholarship
Delta Air Lines will award a $5,000 scholarship to a student currently enrolled in a baccalaureate degree in aerospace/aeronautical, electrical, or mechanical engineering. The scholarship includes a trip to the WAI2024 conference in Orlando (includes round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, and conference fee). Applicants must be full-time students at the junior or senior level with a 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) or better.
