CCTA’s focus is education. We understand that the future of agriculture rests not only in our hands but in those of our young farmers and industry men and women. It gives CCTA great pleasure to award scholarships to deserving high school and college students. These scholarships are paid for by donations and proceeds from the annual conference.
Scholarship applications for the Spring 2026 or Fall 2026 semesters are due by Dec. 1, 2025. Applications and all required attachments should be emailed to Joni Mitchek at coordinator@highplainsnotill.com or mailed to CCTA at 23929 County Road 16, Kit Carson, CO 80825.
2025 CCTA Scholarship Awards
KIT CARSON, Colo. Jan. 15, 2025. The Colorado Conservation Tillage Association is proud to announce that Garrett Scholz of Loomis, Nebraska, has been selected as the 2025 recipient of the $1,000 CCTA Scholarship.
Currently a student at Bertrand High School, Garrett is an active member of 4-H and FFA, as well as several cattle breed associations. He accredits the opportunities he had to show cattle and lambs with sparking his initial interest in agriculture from a young age. Since then, he has earned many achievements and awards in showmanship, FFA extemporaneous speaking, community service, and school-related activities.
Garrett intends to pursue a degree in agribusiness in the fall of 2025 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His ultimate goal is to find a career that he both finds enjoyable and is well-suited to his strengths. Garrett also hopes to use his life and career as a way to glorify God and give back to his community.
The Colorado Conservation Tillage Association is honored to support Garrett in his educational endeavors. He will receive a $1,000 scholarship funded by CCTA and be recognized at the 37th Annual High Plains No-Till Conference in Burlington, Colorado, on Feb. 5, 2025.
Applications for the 2026 CCTA Scholarship will be accepted until Dec. 1, 2025.
