North Carolina CPA Foundation Scholarship

The Foundation is seeking applicants who understand the critical role that CPAs play in our society and who are eager to join a profession built on a commitment to serve the public interest. The CPA of the future must have the ability to analyze complex information and communicate it in ways that people can understand.

The Foundation encourages applications from students who:

  • Enjoy finding practical significance in abstract ideas
  • Have strong interpersonal skills
  • Are technologically adept
  • Highly disciplined and
  • Equally productive whether working alone or with others.

Applicants are asked to provide information demonstrating that they possess these traits or have the potential to develop them.

WHAT TYPES OF SCHOLARSHIPS DOES THE FOUNDATION AWARD?

The NC CPA Foundation, Inc. has three scholarship levels. Based on your eligibility, the application will automatically default to the scholarship you qualify for. All applicants must be NCACPA members to apply for a scholarship. Student membership is FREE and may be obtained here. Prior award winners are eligible to apply for scholarships through the NC CPA Foundation.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE $1,500 SCHOLARSHIPS

To attract and support the next generation of CPAs, the Foundation is offering scholarships to students enrolled at North Carolina community colleges are pursuing an associate degree with the intent to enroll in a four-year program and have the potential to become a CPA.

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM $2,000 SCHOLARSHIPS

To attract and support the next generation of CPAs, the Foundation is offering scholarships to undergraduate students entering or enrolled at a North Carolina 4-year college/university. Applicants should be enrolled in an undergraduate program that will allow them to achieve the accounting concentration required to sit for the CPA Exam or to earn the undergraduate hours needed to enroll in a graduate program in order to achieve the concentration.

GRADUATE PROGRAM $2,500 SCHOLARSHIPS

To attract and support the next generation of CPAs, the Foundation is offering scholarships to students entering or enrolled in graduate programs at North Carolina universities. Applicants should be enrolled in a graduate accounting program that will allow them to achieve the accounting concentration required to sit for the CPA Exam.
